Hello and welcome to my weekly life updates! Since moving from the UK to the US everything has been moving at 100mph and I can honestly say none of this was planned but I'm usually pretty good at rolling with the punches and seeing where it ends up knowing that some things will work and some things won't. What I'm NOT good at is living in the moment. So I'm holding myself accountable to log on here at the end of each week and write a few sentences about what has gone well, what hasn't and basically have a little moment of reflection. I hope you don't mind me chatting to you!
SO, finishing my website has been a highlight this week! It's taken me a lot of hours and shouting at my scrren to muddle my way through this and to now be releasing it into the wild gives me great satisfaction! I also got good news on the progress of building my charity this week, if you don't know about this check it on Tik Tok @_amberinamerica but basically I want to use my unexpected success as a creator for good causes, trying to encourage brands that want to send me gifts to allow me to sell them and give the cash to homeless/veterans. It's a lot more complex than that and I'm bogged down with research but my business advisor has managed to get me 3 MBA students at a New York college to help with this research and accelerate towards launch, feels like a weight off, I get to meet them soon!
What HASN'T gone well this week is my health! A few weeks ago I got this strange irritation on the skin around my eyes, I thought it was a new product I just got so I stopped using it but can't seem to get it to go away, even with a dose of meds it's staying put and driving me crazy! So now I have to see a specialist and goodness knows what that might cost but my priority is getting these sore patches off my eyes and looking human again!
I think that's my high and low lights for this week - feel free to share yours in the comments or send me a message/DM... I reply to as much as I can without getting too addicted to my phone!
Catch you next week! Have a good one x
